Empower Community Weekend is a family-friendly, all-day event that brings the Washington DC metro area's largest East African communities together. The event is centered on empowering people to thrive and live a productive and fulfilling life. It includes empowering panel discussions, and workshops led by industry leaders.
This event will feature Exhibitors who will showcase their products and services. Career Pavilion, with events and resources for hiring and recruiting, Kids and Youth Pavilion, with games and fun activities, as well as college preparation and internship resources. A networking mixer is also included.
The Helen Show, an Ethiopian Broadcast Service TV lifestyle program, is one of the most popular programs. It covers a variety of topics, from family and current issues to business, health and health. The Helen Show, which is currently in its 16th season, reaches more than 25 million viewers each week. Helen's goal is to empower and educate viewers through the show.
