Otakon, founded in 1994, is an annual convention that takes place in the summer to celebrate Asian Pop Culture (Anime, Manga, Music, Movies, Video Games, etc.) and its fans. The convention runs from Friday through Sunday, and has a packed schedule with lots to do.
Otakon takes place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, in Washington DC.
Otakon was founded 30 years ago, and I'm not sure if its founders ever imagined it would be so successful. We are so grateful to you all for being part of our Otakon family and for joining us on this incredible journey!
Otakon's staff is made up entirely of volunteers who donate their time to the cause. Otakon wouldn't be what it is today and where it will continue to grow without them, you, or us.
