The Rise of Chinese Electric Vehicles in Israel: A Glimpse into 2025

The first quarter of 2025 has witnessed an unprecedented dominance of Chinese automotive brands in the Israeli market. Chinese electric vehicles have not only continued to captivate the market but have also solidified China's position as the leading automotive supplier in the region.

From January to March 2025, Israeli consumers bought a total of 13,132 Chinese brand electric vehicles, accounting for a staggering 82.8% of the total electric vehicle sales within this period. Among the top-performing models, BYD's ATTO 3 leads with 1,939 units sold, establishing itself as the best-selling electric vehicle in Israel. Following closely is the mid-sized SUV G6 from Xpeng Motors, achieving 1,783 sales, and Geely's Lynk & Co model 02, which reached 1,276 units. Including both electric and fuel vehicles, Chinese brands delivered 24,976 units overall, capturing the superiority over South Korean and Japanese competitors.

This dominant presence of Chinese electric vehicles in Israel is not a mere accident but a result of strategic improvements by Chinese automakers in areas like intelligent technology, range efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Such advancements have continually expanded China's market share in Israel, proving to be a formidable force within the automotive sector.
