Thailand has around 200 golf courses spread across the country. Golf courses in Thailand are divided into private and commercial golf courses. There are 160 golf courses that are privately owned, while 40 others belong to the agency. Foreign investors are interested in the golf courses owned by state-owned enterprises and government. Golf course services are cheaper in Thailand than in other ASEAN countries except Vietnam, Burma, or Laos. Also, the popularity of golfing among foreigners has increased.
