BioJapan 2027 takes place 13-15 October 2027 (Wed-Fri) at PACIFICO Yokohama, 1-1-1 Minatomirai, Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Japan. These dates are confirmed by the organiser's own official event application system (jcd-event.smktg.jp): the 2027 English booth-application page states "Date: Oct. 13th - 15th, 2027 - Venue: Pacifico YOKOHAMA", and the Japanese counterpart of the same form states "会期：2027年10月13日～15日 会場：パシフィコ横浜". The public show site (jcd-expo.jp/en) still presents the 2026 edition, which ran 7-9 October 2026 and closed with a recorded visitor count of 22,835; the organiser's 2027 application forms confirm the next edition.
BioJapan, first held in 1986 and celebrating its 40th year in 2026, is the world's oldest and Asia's largest biotechnology exhibition and the premier bio-industry partnering event in Asia. It is organised by the BioJapan Organizing Committee together with JTB Communication Design, Inc., with the Japan Bioindustry Association as the representative organising body, and is co-located with Regenerative Medicine JAPAN and healthTECH JAPAN.
The show rests on three pillars: an exhibition, a seminar and presentation programme, and a structured business-partnering system that pre-books meetings between participants. The 2026 edition reported 1,200 exhibiting companies and organisations (as of 28 September 2026) and around 26,000 planned business meetings; the 2025 edition drew 22,167 visitors with 1,568 partnering companies and 3,073 partnering attendees. The show uses PACIFICO Yokohama's Exhibition Halls A, B, C and D together with the Annex Hall and North Hall. The 2026 edition ran 10:00-17:00, with partnering sessions opening from 08:00; opening hours for the 2027 edition have not yet been published by the organiser.
