SurfaceTechnology GERMANY is the international meeting place for surface technology. As a cross-sectional technology, surface finishing serves automotive, metalworking, mechanical engineering, aerospace, electronics, medical technology and many other industries. Manufacturers present latest technologies, products and services and network with customers and partners worldwide.

Exhibition themes

Measuring, testing and analysis; pre-treatment; thermal spraying; environmental engineering and supply systems; nano and microtechnology; industrial plasma and laser-based surface treatment; surface treatment; coating materials; services; cleaning; abrasive blasting; electroplating.

Side programmes include the STG.ExpertForum, the ZVO joint stand, the VDMA Oberflächentechnik presence, and the Fraunhofer IPA award DIE OBERFLÄCHE.

The 2026 edition (5–7 May 2026) welcomed more than 4,600 visitors from 46 nations. The next edition is 20–22 June 2028 in Stuttgart.
