The conference gives the fertilizer supply chain a clear-eyed read on where the market is headed, from freight and rail policy to nutrient-specific outlooks, and is aimed at members navigating the market alongside their peers.
The programme opens with an opening general session on the U.S. agricultural outlook, covering evolving market conditions, input costs, weather, trade and policy uncertainty, followed by a transportation and freight market outlook examining shifting rail service, capacity constraints and evolving freight costs. Further general sessions include a U.S. Department of Transportation update on infrastructure and freight movement, structural change in U.S. agriculture as production shifts toward larger operations, a Surface Transportation Board update, a look ahead to El Nino and crop trends, and sessions on natural gas and the short-term energy outlook and on Class I railroads and keeping fertilizer moving.
The meeting also hosts TFI committee working sessions, including the Economics Committee Meeting and the Transportation Committee Meeting, and closes with a welcome happy hour.
