JAPAN EXPO Sydney is Australia's largest Japanese cultural event, organised by J Culture Sydney with the support of the Consulate General of Japan in Sydney. The 2027 in-person edition takes place on Saturday 6 February 2027 from 10:00am to 4:00pm at Sydney Town Hall, inside the Queen Victoria Building in the heart of the Sydney CBD. Exhibitor booths cover tourism, products, food and culture, complemented by stage performances in the Centennial Hall, cultural workshops and installations such as the International Kimono Competition and the Nagoya Centennial Hall. Sponsors for the 2027 edition include China Airlines, ANA - All Nippon Airways and Mitsubishi Electric Australia. Attendee benefits run from 7 February 2027, the day after the event. The organisers also run a JAPAN EXPO Online platform with on-demand webinars, exhibitor lists and cultural content, and ticket sales for the in-person event open in October 2026.
