Local Southern African Manufacturing Expo 2028
The Local Southern African Manufacturing Expo (LME) is the local-manufacturing zone that runs inside Electra Mining Africa at the Johannesburg Expo Centre, Nasrec, Johannesburg. It is organised by Montgomery Group Africa together with the show's manufacturing partner SACEEC, and it showcases Southern African-made mining, engineering, power, automation, agriculture and construction equipment, locally produced consumables and critical spares, and South African innovation.
The standalone LME domain is no longer in service; the brand now runs as a co-located zone of the parent show, which Electra Mining Africa bills as a 6-in-1 trade expo covering mining, electrical, automation, manufacturing, power and transport under one roof. Local manufacturing is highlighted through the show's South Africa Day, a daily theme day devoted to locally manufactured technology, South African innovation, supplier development and competitiveness, with a supporting seminar programme in the SAIMM Seminar Theatre.
Next edition: 4-8 September 2028, Johannesburg Expo Centre, Cnr Nasrec & Randshow Roads, Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. Opening hours 09:00-17:00 daily. Exhibitor and visitor registration is handled through the Electra Mining Africa website, which is the official source for the show's dates, venue and hours.
