BI-MU is the international biennial exhibition for machine tools, robots and automation systems promoted by UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE and organised by EFIM-ENTE FIERE ITALIANE MACCHINE, held at fieramilano Rho in Milan. The 36th edition is scheduled from 10 to 13 October 2028, running Tuesday to Friday, and follows the 35th edition held from 13 to 16 October 2026, which closed with 448 exhibiting companies and about 26,000 professional visitors, 30 percent of them from abroad. The show covers metal cutting and metal forming machine tools, robots, automation, digital and additive manufacturing, metrology and testing, power transmission systems, heat and surface treatments, and tooling, organised into themed areas including RobotHeart, AMITALY, BI-MU Digital, Metrology and Testing, Power4Machines, Heat and Surface Treatments and Tool Tech. The 35th edition also celebrated the 70-year history of the exhibition, hosted the debut of the BI-MU FutureTech Award and the Additive Future Lab for students, and was certified ICIM ISO 20121 for sustainable event management. Between BI-MU editions the sector meets at EMO MILANO 2027, from 4 to 8 October 2027, and LAMIERA, from 11 to 14 May 2027, both at fieramilano Rho.
