Since 1981, the California Association of County Treasurers and Tax Collectors has existed. It is composed of Treasurers-Tax Collectors and Finance Directors from the 58 counties in California. Before 1981, there were actually two associations: The California Association of County Tax Collectors (CATC) and the California Association of County Treasurers.
CACTTC's purpose is to promote general interests and to represent the counties of its members. It also strives to maintain high standards of professionalism and encourages a cooperative and friendly spirit through information exchange and ideas.
