TEDxSurrey - A Shift In Thinking 2027
TEDxSurrey is an independently organized TED event in Surrey, British Columbia, under the theme A Shift In Thinking. It is licensed by TED and produced by a volunteer, not-for-profit team.
The next live event is 23 January 2027, 10:00am–3:30pm, at the Bell Performing Arts Centre in Surrey, B.C. In-person tickets are sold via the Bell Performing Arts Centre box office; a livestream option is also offered. Holiday and early-bird promotions appear on the official homepage when available.
About the series: TED spreads ideas in short talks. TEDx events bring that format to local communities. TEDxSurrey grew from TEDxBearCreekPark (first event 2019 at Centre Stage, Surrey City Hall). Since 2020 the main show has been staged at Bell Performing Arts Centre (2021 was virtual). TED granted the city-level TEDxSurrey name in 2022. Organizers report sold-out houses in 2025 and 2026 (over 1,000 seats).
The 2026 edition was 24 January 2026 at the Bell; talks from that year are archived on the 2026 event page. The 2027 programme continues the same venue and format: a day of community speakers, performers, and ideas.
