Russian Aviation Subsidies Reduction 2024-2026
Federal subsidies for Russia's aircraft industry are planned to be cut by 10% for 2024-2026 compared to current budget allocations, according to draft budget materials reviewed by Interfax.
Key Budget Allocations
- Aviation Industry Development Program: 37.3 billion rubles in 2024 (vs 41.5 billion current), 35.3 billion rubles each in 2025 and 2026 (vs 39.2 billion)
- State Support Project: Expected reductions of 40% in 2024 (16.5 billion), 32% in 2025 (17.3 billion), 24% in 2026 (19.4 billion)
Areas of Reduction
- Aircraft maintenance cost compensation for airlines: reduced by 2.2 billion rubles in 2024, 1.7 billion in 2025, 1.2 billion in 2026
- Aircraft engine manufacturing: 633 million rubles in 2024 (-28%), 540 million in 2025 (-39%), 354 million in 2026 (-60%)
Areas of Increase
- Aircraft construction: 15.7 billion rubles in 2024 (+38%), 13.2 billion in 2025 (+21%), 11.8 billion in 2026 (+8%)
- Helicopter manufacturing: 4.4 billion rubles in 2024 (+139%), 4.2 billion in 2025 (+124%), 3.8 billion in 2026 (+105%)
