About
Overheid 360 is the annual event for information management professionals working for government. The 2027 edition is hosted at Jaarbeurs Utrecht and centres on how the digital world and society are strongly interconnected and always developing. Government organisations have to respond flexibly and quickly to urgent societal issues, such as the influence of artificial intelligence on society, the impact of cyber attacks on privacy, and future-proof information strategies. Together, attendees work towards a smarter government that fits the needs of citizens and businesses better.
Audience
All visitors are qualified: only people working for a municipality, province, central government body or another public institution can visit the congress free of charge. Around 1,000 public-sector visitors attended in 2025. Networking is a core part of the day, both during the informative sessions, at the networking lunch and on the well-stocked exhibition floor.
The seven themes
- Artificial intelligence - AI's impact on government and society, process automation, solving complex problems, and the need for sharp regulation and ethical guidelines
- Digital sovereignty - governments keeping control of their own data, systems and digital infrastructure, including conscious choices on cloud use, data location and supplier relationships
- Information strategy - a solid ICT vision and a forward-looking information strategy as the basis for modern service delivery, business management and enforcement
- Data-driven government - turning government data into added value, applying algorithms to previously invisible problems and the ethical questions that raises
- Digital accessibility - an inclusive digital society in which everyone, including people with disabilities, has access to online information and services
- Cyber security - protecting personal data against phishing, cyber attacks, privacy breaches and data leaks, and developing national guidelines and awareness initiatives
- IT outsourcing and cloud computing - municipalities buying specialist applications and office automation from the market while retaining control over their data
