Cape Town Cycle Tour
The Cape Town Cycle Tour is a premier 109km cycling event taking riders on a journey around the Cape Peninsula. Established in 1978, it is South Africa's must-do cycling event, featuring full road closure, enthusiastic roadside support, and stunning ocean views, notably from Chapman’s Peak.
Event Highlights
- Route: A 109km course showcasing natural beauty, with top spectator spots including Wynberg Hill, Muizenberg, Kalk Bay, Noordhoek Farm Village, Hout Bay, and Camps Bay.
- Cycle Expo: Features initiatives like SkinScan for melanoma detection and showcases various sponsors and cycling-related exhibits.
- Loyalty Rider Jerseys: Participants earn special jerseys based on completions: navy blue (10 Tours), teal (21), red (30), and gold (40).
