APGCE is continuing to create and unlock new opportunities for the community of geoscientists through a variety of programmes that feature industry experts in geoscience. APGCE 2020 will be held in Kuala Lumpur from 20-21 November 2024.
The Call for Abstracts for the Asia Petroleum Geoscience Conference & Exhibition 2024 (APGCE-2024) is now OPEN.
The deadline for submissions is Monday, 15th April 2024.
Few may be aware of the opportunities created by the shift to a new norm. Global energy demands are expected to rise, but they must be aligned with 'greener values'.
The question of energy transition is no longer about what and how we produce or operate, but rather why. Oil and gas companies have pledged net-zero goals due to concerns about climate change. Energy companies must be efficient at all levels to find and produce responsibly to meet global demand. This includes the talent they recruit, the type of hydrocarbons used, the energy mix, as well as our products.
Technology, strategic focus and product innovation are the key to not only commercial success but also value creation within a shared economy model. We are accountable for the impact of our products. We must ensure that our energy production provides fair socioeconomic development opportunities within the countries where we operate, while protecting our global eco-system. In addition, a fair and equitable mix of energy is aligned to embed a culture that values diversity, equity and inclusion.
