The Javits Center is easily accessible from Grand Central Terminal and other major stations, including Penn Station, Port Authority, and Penn Station. The 7 Line Subway is now extended to 34th Street & 11th Avenue just steps away from the Javits Center. The 7 Line is interconnected with 18 of the 24 lines in the system. This makes it easy to get from and to the show.
Walking and mass transit are the best ways to travel around NYC. NYC's buses and subways are cheap, run 24/7, and provide a great way to see the city and get to your destination quickly. Ferries and an aerial tramway are also interborough connections.
The first step in navigating the City is to get an MTA MetroCard. MetroCards can be purchased at any subway station by either the attendants or multilingual machines that accept cash, credit cards, and ATM cards.
MetroCards are available with unlimited rides or pay-per ride. One subway or bus trip costs $2.75. Users can ride unlimited MetroCards as many times as they want within a set time frame: either seven or thirty days.
