Green Building Expo Tokyo 2026
The 8th Summit for Space Sustainability, co‑hosted by the Secure World Foundation and the Brazilian Space Agency, will take place on 4–5 November 2026 at the Museu Nacional da República in Brasília, Brazil. The two‑day high‑level forum gathers policymakers, industry leaders, researchers and civil‑society actors to develop practical solutions for long‑term space sustainability, with a special focus on Latin America and the Caribbean. Five core thematic tracks structure the program: (1) Aligning national ambitions with international best practices – licensing, debris mitigation and regulatory models; (2) Benefiting from space applications – data access, public‑private partnerships and societal outcomes such as climate monitoring, agriculture and connectivity; (3) Cooperating for shared stewardship – regional and global mechanisms for space situational awareness, transparency and confidence‑building; (4) Designing policy pathways – risk‑based licensing, incentives, insurance and governance tools drawn from other commons; and (5) Exploring sustainable lunar and Martian activities – early norm‑setting, equity and responsible exploration. The summit aims to produce a regional agenda, capacity‑building opportunities and actionable recommendations for national policy and international deliberations.
