Aspiring Superintendents Academy 2027
The Aspiring Superintendents Academy, held Jan 24‑27 2027 alongside the TASA Midwinter Conference, delivers ~14 hours of professional learning for future superintendents. The program covers career‑building topics—resume and entry‑plan development, interview skills, navigating search firms, contracts, governance, and first‑year success—through presentations, Q&A, hands‑on activities, and an online resource hub. Participants receive CPE credit. The 2026 agenda featured 45 speakers, including 15 search‑firm representatives and 25 sitting superintendents such as Jaime Clark (Henrietta ISD) and Holly Ferguson (Prosper ISD). Highlights include a crash‑course résumé workshop, live on‑stage interview with feedback, and 1:1 time with search firms. Alumni testimonials emphasize networking, mentorship, and actionable tools that helped attendees secure superintendent roles. Registration opens Fall 2026. The academy is positioned as a comprehensive, Texas‑specific pathway to the superintendency, integrating leadership development, practical job‑search tactics, and ongoing support through TASA’s broader professional‑learning ecosystem.
