The 16th Agricultural Science Congress (ASC) and Expo, organized by the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences and hosted by ICAR‑CMFRI in Kochi, will run from October 10‑13, 2026. The congress, themed “Transformation of agri‑food systems for achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs),” aims to gather over 1,500 delegates—including academicians, researchers, students, farmers, entrepreneurs, and industry representatives—from India and abroad. Key activities include plenary sessions, invited lectures, technical papers, symposia, panel discussions, and a student elocution contest. The accompanying Agri Expo will showcase innovative technologies from public and private research institutes, universities, agro‑industries, extension agencies, and NGOs, covering areas such as precision farming, alternative and coastal agriculture, renewable energy, next‑generation genetics, livestock, horticulture, food security, and climate‑smart practices. The event seeks to foster knowledge exchange and develop roadmaps for aligning Indian agri‑food systems with the United Nations SDGs.
