The Prague Christmas Markets are the most spectacular festive markets in the Czech Republic, running daily from 28 November 2026 to 6 January 2027. The main markets are held at Old Town Square (Staroměstské náměstí) and Wenceslas Square (Václavské náměstí) in Prague's city centre, just a five-minute walk apart. Visitors can enjoy beautifully decorated Christmas trees, wooden stalls selling handcrafted ornaments, traditional Czech treats such as trdelník and svařené víno (mulled wine), and a rich programme of carol singing and live performances. Smaller local markets also operate at Peace Square and Republic Square. The markets remain open daily through Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, making them a highlight of Prague's winter tourism season.
