Louisiana Shrimp And Petroleum Festival 2026
The Louisiana Shrimp and Petroleum Festival runs Thursday, September 3 through Monday, September 7, 2026 in downtown Morgan City. Highlights include a five‑day Arts & Crafts market with over 100 vendors offering handmade jewelry, woodwork and other unique items. Family‑friendly attractions feature a Children’s Village (bounce houses, face painting, games), a Children’s Parade on Saturday morning, and a carnival with rides. Traditional events are the Blessing of the Fleet (Sunday 10 am‑noon on Berwick Bay) and a street parade of festival royalty. Cultural activities include a mass in Lawrence Park, a 5K run/walk benefiting 100 Black Men of St. Mary Parish, and nightly music in the park ranging from country to Cajun. Evening entertainment features fireworks over Berwick Bay and a coronation ball. Specialty experiences include the Petro Pit VIP area, a diving ROV museum, and the Mr. Charlie offshore oil‑rig tour.
