Startupfest: Canada’s Original Startup Conference 2027
About Startupfest
Startupfest is a three-day founder-focused festival in Montréal that brings founders, investors, and ecosystem leaders together to connect and unlock real opportunities. The event is built on three core pillars: the Startupfest Village, world-class content, and high-stakes pitch competitions. Every feature is designed to provide direct value for startups, putting founders in front of people who can fund, advise, and accelerate their companies.
The next edition takes place 7–9 July 2027 at the Grand Quay of the Port of Montréal (Grand Quai du Port de Montréal), 200 De la Commune Street West, on Montréal’s Old Port waterfront.
Highlights
- $1M+ in investment prizes up for grabs
- 120+ speakers and mentors
- About 25% of attendees can sign a term sheet
- 16 years of putting founders first (since 2011)
- More than $9M awarded in investment prizes to date, including $100K prizes in categories such as Best of the Fest, Women in Tech, and Black Entrepreneurs
In the Startupfest Village, programming includes Mentor Office Hours, Braindates, and curated Match-Ups, set against a festival-style atmosphere on the waterfront.
Venue
Startupfest takes over Montréal’s Grand Quay at 200 De la Commune Street West — an indoor and outdoor waterfront venue in the Old Port. Paid parking is available on site (up to 250 cars), with reduced-mobility and EV charging stations. The nearest metro stations are Square-Victoria and Place-d’Armes (Orange line), about a 10-minute walk.
Who should attend
Startupfest is designed for founders seeking funding, mentors, and customers, and for investors and ecosystem partners looking to meet early-stage startups. Access to expertise is not limited to the main stage: speakers also serve as mentors in the Village.
