About
The CAF Wings Over Houston Airshow is an IRC 501(c)(3) community event presented by the volunteer efforts of the Houston Wing, Gulf Coast Wing, and Tora! Tora! Tora! of the Commemorative Air Force, with support from the Lone Star Flight Museum, Collings Foundation-Houston based at Ellington Airport, and the Vietnam War Flight Museum. One of the top air shows in the United States, this premier Houston event is dedicated to showcasing vintage World War II aircraft, along with the thrills of modern aviation, and has supported a variety of local and national charities during its 40-year history.
The 42nd annual show returns to Ellington Airport, Houston on October 31 and November 1, 2026 (Halloween weekend). The world-famous U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds headline, joined by NASA’s “Freedom 250” F-5s and other military and civilian acts.
Dates and hours
- Main airshow: Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1, 2026
- Gates: 8:00 a.m.; feature flying: about 10:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.; gates close: 5:00 p.m. (approximate; subject to change)
- Friday, October 30, 2026: limited-attendance “Wings For All” special show (for guests with disabilities and neurodivergent visitors) plus a limited Friday tailgate / photo experience. Friday tickets do not include Saturday or Sunday admission.
The full flying schedule is finalized closer to show week and depends on weather and operational conditions. The featured Thunderbirds performance is expected around 3:00 p.m.

Venue and visitor info
Held at Ellington Airport, minutes south of downtown Houston (I-45 to FM 1959 / Ellington Airport, or Beltway 8 to Highway 3). Parking is included with tickets; free shuttle buses from designated Park and Ride locations are recommended because of construction and limited on-site parking. Tickets are date-specific and sold online at the official site.
