Frontiers in Optics + Laser Science (FiO LS) 2026
FiO LS (Frontiers in Optics + Laser Science) is the premier international optics and photonics conference at the intersection of science and industry, co-organized by Optica (Frontiers in Optics) and the APS Division of Laser Science. The 2026 in-person meeting takes place 27 September - 01 October 2026 at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center, 123 East Main Street, Rochester, New York, USA. The exhibit and tradeshow floor (Science + Industry Showcase) runs 29 - 30 September 2026, pairing exhibitors with show-floor programming, demos, networking events and poster presentations.
2026 conference themes include Extreme Light (new), Space Optics, Virtual Reality and Augmented Vision, and Quantum Technologies, spanning 11 topic categories. Show-floor programming features 1:1 resume reviews, Working in Academia / Working in Industry Q&A panels, a US federal funding and collaboration session, the Luminate Finals startup showcase, AI in Optical System Design, and meet-the-editors events.
