Ghana International Book Fair 2026
The 23rd Ghana International Book Fair (GIBF) runs from 27 to 30 August 2026 at the Accra International Conference Centre. The fair’s overarching theme, “Transforming Ghana’s Future through Books,” is complemented by an exposition on “Inclusive Publishing: Celebrating Accessible Literature,” highlighting Braille, audio and large‑print formats. Exhibitors span the full book‑value chain: publishers, writers, illustrators, designers, typesetters, printers, proofreaders, booksellers, distributors, librarians, research institutions, cultural organisations, educational institutions, telecom firms, NGOs and financial institutions. Key stakeholders—including the Ghana Publishers Association, Library Association, Book Development Council, Writers Association and the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts—promote inclusive literary culture and support over 2,000 children through accessible‑reading initiatives in partnership with the Ghana Blind Union. The event offers networking, trade opportunities, workshops, seminars and a platform for launching new titles and exploring intra‑African and international book markets.
