Belfast Harbor Fest, a community project of the Belfast Rotary Club, honors the maritime tradition of Belfast, Maine, provides people of all ages with opportunities to experience Belfast harbor, stimulates the economic life of Belfast and the Belfast area, fosters membership in the Belfast Rotary Club, and generates support for Rotary service projects that make real Rotary’s belief in “Service Above Self.”.
Don’t miss out on the exciting Belfast Harbor Fest, presented by the Belfast Rotary Club, where community spirit and local culture meet in a spectacular way! This annual festival, taking place from August 16 to August 17, 2025, offers engaging activities for all ages, including a thrilling 6K Bug Run/Walk. In Maine, lobsters are affectionately known as 'bugs', and what better reward for the winner of this fun event than 10 pounds of delicious lobsters! Runners will also enjoy a free pancake breakfast served from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, sponsored by Downeast Credit Union, making it a perfect start to an action-packed day.
In addition to the competitive runs, attendees can revel in local music performances throughout the day in the Steamboat Landing Gazebo. Foodies will have plenty of options to indulge their taste buds with a variety of food vendors offering delicious local cuisine. Families are encouraged to join in on the fun with activities designed for kids, such as the Pinewood Derby race at 11:45 a.m. and opportunities to explore the Front Street Shipyard Tours offered at 11:00 a.m. and noon. On Saturday, adults can cheer on the teams participating in the 25th Annual Come Boating! Regatta, a race featuring a range of oared and paddled boats. Registration for racers is required, so be sure to sign up before August 10. It’s a fantastic way to connect with the local community while enjoying a festive atmosphere full of creativity and celebration!
