2026 RAPDASA-AMI Conference

The 2026 RAPDASA-AMI international conference will be held 27–30 October 2026 at the Protea Hotel Polokwane Ranch Resort, South Africa. RAPDASA is joined by the South African Advanced Materials Initiative (AMI).

Following the 2025 RAPDASA Conference (joined by RobMech, PRASA and AMI) at the CSIR International Convention Centre in Pretoria on 27–30 October 2025, the 2026 edition continues the series for additive manufacturing, materials engineering, rapid product development and advanced manufacturing.

Theme: From Prototype to Production: Translating Research into Reality

The conference brings together experts from industry, R&D institutions, academia and students to present research, development and implementation, and to network across Africa and globally.

Product designers, engineers, production staff, technical directors and managers involved in design, development and manufacturing, as well as participants from international product development and materials engineering communities, academia and R&D institutions.

Publication

Accepted papers after double-blind peer review will be published in MATEC Web of Conferences. Selected papers may be submitted to the South African Journal of Industrial Engineering (SAJIE). Industry participants may give non-peer-reviewed presentations based on a 300-word abstract.
