Metallurgy China - the China International Metallurgical Industry Exhibition - has run since 1987 and is the only national-level metallurgy and metal heat-processing exhibition in China. It is hosted by the China Iron and Steel Association and the CCPIT Metallurgical Industry Sub-Council, organized by the Metallurgical Industry International Exchange and Cooperation Center with Hannover Milano Fairs (Shanghai) as international partner.
The 25th edition, marking the exhibition's 40th anniversary, is scheduled for 1-3 September 2027 at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall / New CIEC), No. 88 Yuxiang Road, Shunyi District, Beijing. It returns to Beijing after the 24th edition, which was held 21-23 September 2026 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) as a core event of the 2nd China International Steel Week.
The show covers the full metallurgical value chain: steelmaking and continuous casting, rolling, furnace and heat-treatment technology, refractories, metallurgical plant and equipment, automation and control, and environmental and low-carbon technology. The 2027 edition is planned alongside the co-located Steel Structure, Tube, Refractories and Heavy Machinery exhibitions, with a total exhibition area of close to 150,000 sqm, more than 1,000 exhibiting companies and around 120,000 professional visitors expected. Organisers have stated the 2027 event will emphasise high-end, intelligent, green and international development of the steel industry, with Beijing offering a convenient setting for high-level dialogue and industry-chain cooperation.
