The Salone Internazionale del Libro di Torino, Italy's biggest book fair, will host 215,000 visitors in 2023. Turin's public-facing book fair, which was founded in 1988, also hosts over 2,000 International guests each year and 1200 public events. The fair's panel program features the most interesting and influential personalities in the global cultural environment, whether they are from literature, philosophy or science. It also includes journalists, religious figures, film makers, musicians, or journalists. Salone del Libro is not just held in May.
Every year, the world's most influential and interesting personalities gather in Turin. Salone Off was created in 2004 to bring books and performances out of the Lingotto Pavilions. It focuses on the suburbs of Milan and the surrounding area. Libraries, bookshops and theatres. Former factories, streets, squares and public places. Hospitals, parks, gardens, cemeteries, metro stations, and former factories.
