There was a Kenyan double victory at an eventful GENERALI MUNICH MARATHON. While Bernard Muia won in good weather conditions in 2:09:17 hours and the second fastest winning time.
The Kenyan Bernard Muia Katui was able to step up at the last minute in Munich after other athletes dropped out and won the marathon in 2:09:17 hours.
Kenyan Catherine Cherotich won the marathon in 2:31:34 hours and set a new best time. She has already made an international name for herself by winning the marathon in the North Macedonian capital Skopje.
Adane Belete Wuletaw celebrated his victory in the half marathon in 64:37 minutes. This meant he improved his personal best time by 20 seconds. The 26-year-old competes for LG TELIS FINANZ Regensburg and is in his element on distances from 3000 meters to half marathons.
