B & L Production dba Crossroads of the West Gun Shows just received a response from our lawyers regarding our lawsuit against the State of California. The Judge ruled in favor of us! The Honorable John W Holcomb has ruled that neither state agencies nor employees can enforce Penal Codes which previously prohibited the sale or possession of firearms and ammunition on state-owned property.
The judge also said that Crossroads of the West could request dates for gun show at the Orange County Fair and Expo Center and we must honor our requests, as long as the dates are reasonable.Requests are available.
According to the judge's decision, we requested dates for the Orange County Fair and Expo Center. We have asked for a complete schedule of events in 2024. There are no dates open through the end 2023. The State of California is likely to appeal Judge Holcomb’s decision before the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Our lawyers expect the U.S. to rule on the case. Circuit relatively quickly.
We expect to have contracts in place prior to the appeal, but this is dependent on whether or not the Board of Directors approves these contracts promptly.
