Addendum on the Rules for the Use of Artificial Intelligence
Science Fair projects are more than just building solar systems or volcanoes.
Students are engaged in research projects that cover STEM topics (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Mathematics). There are 13 categories, including Team Projects and Consumer Science (for grades 6-8).
Delaware Valley Science Fairs is a competition that brings together 900-1000 students from grades 6-12 in Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey and Delaware. These students make discoveries every year which could transform their lives. Students who win are given scholarships and prizes. DVSF sends the top high school winners to the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair in May, where they compete for over $4 million in awards and scholarships. The top middle-schoolers go on to compete in the Thermo Fisher Junior Innovators Challenge, (Math, Technology, Science, and Engineering for Rising Stars).
The Delaware Valley Science Fairs, Inc., founded in 1949, is a nonprofit organization supported by local companies, foundations, colleges, and individuals. DVSF is one of the largest and oldest Fairs in the United States. Its philosophy is to teach science through hands-on experiments. Students learn to think critically and develop the problem-solving abilities they need for college, careers and citizenship. Our mission is to bring together parents, educators, and industry to encourage and nurture young children so they can grow into contributing citizens by providing the scientific workers needed for the future. To facilitate participation, we provide teacher training and mentoring. DVSF is a Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair Affiliated Fair.
