Q: Despite residing in Victoria, BC, you attend the Trader's Forum Show every year in Toronto. What is your motivation?
In 2004, we opened 2 stores. By 2014, we had 7 more. Our growth was aided by dealing with local sales representatives and online companies, but Trader's Forum proved to be the best investment.
Our growth was accelerated by the good investment we made in attending three Trader's Forum shows per year. Distance between Victoria and BC. Toronto is approximately 3384 km away - not bad for great deals. When you are at the show, you must be diligent in searching for the best deals and ask a lot questions. The best deals were often found at the bottom of the shelves, which people tend to ignore.
When selecting an item for my shop(s), I always consider my 3 Ps: Price, Place, and Package.
I think that most companies fail because of internal problems, lack of planning and not due to the market. The Trader's Forum Shows are the best decision you can make for your money and time. Say hello and see you there!
