Join us on the weekend of April 27, 28 and 2024 for the Ghost of Tacoma, the Tacoma City Marathon, and other options such as the Marathon Relay and Half Marathon.
Start Saturday morning with the 5K (8:00 am start) and then run the Ghost of Tacoma Marathon or Half Marathon (9:00 am start). Start your Saturday morning off with the Ghost of Tacoma Marathon (or Half Marathon) at 9:00 am. Finish the weekend on Sunday with the Tacoma City Marathon and Half Marathon.
The Sunday Marathon and Half Marathon will be point-to-point races that run across the Narrows Bridge, finishing in Tacoma’s Dune Peninsula Park – the Northwest’s premier waterfront community. This scenic entertainment and recreation center is located along Commencement bay with panoramic views over the Puget Sound and Olympic and Cascade Mountain Ranges.
The course is a beautiful, scenic USATF-certified and Boston qualifying course. It passes through Point Defiance Park with its 700 acres of gardens and old growth forest. After exiting Pt. After leaving Pt. The Marathon will then continue along the fast and flat waterfront, with views of Mt. Rainier and Puget Sound. The Marathon turnaround takes place along the Thea-Foss Waterway and Museum of Glass.
