Emergency Services Organizations are eligible to join in Lancaster County. These include Fire, Rescue, Emergency Medical Services, Forest Fire Crews, and more. Lancaster County Firemen's Association is a group that represents more than 80 Lancaster County Emergency Service Organizations and over 750 individuals who protect residents in Lancaster County. LCFA offers professional development and education, maintains a Fire School and operates a Fire Safety Trailer to educate the public about fire safety. It also publishes The Pennsylvania Fireman and hosts the second biggest fire expo in America.
