The Mississippi Gulf Coast Gem and Mineral Society Inc. is hosting the 34th Annual "Magnolia Gem, Mineral, and Jewellery Show" at the Jackson County Fairground Civic Center, Pascagoula, MS, November 11 & 12. Vendors will sell gemstones, minerals and fossils from around the world. A coloring contest will be held for children. Kids can purchase sandbags to search for their own gem treasures. Our members will show how to make cabochons, which are shaped and polished stones. Our gem club members are going to demonstrate many different jewelry-making skills, including Faceting and Cabbing.
The cost to enter is $5. Children 12 and younger are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Hourly door prizes will be awarded! The Raffle is full of amazing prizes like jewelry, gemstones art, mineral specimens, and more. Tickets cost $1 each, or $6 for $5. Tickets are available on the Show's website and at the Show. www.mgcgms.org. The winner will then be chosen at the end. The winner does not have to be present. You don't have to go hungry. Concessions will be available, including hamburgers, hotdogs and chicken gumbo. Also, there will be potato salad, coleslaw, potato salad, and red beans and rice. Snacks will be available. We will provide iced lemonade, coke or iced tea if you are thirsty. Check out our displays of minerals, gemstones and fossils from all over the world. Shop for treasures and join in the fun!
