Nuclear and Emerging Technologies for Space (NETS 2024) -- ANS / Meetings

Nuclear and Emerging Technologies for Space - NETS 2024. Sponsor or exhibit at NETS2024! We would like to thank our sponsors. We would like to thank our exhibitors.

Hoʻolaʻa ʻia ʻo ANS i ka holomua, hoʻoulu a hāpai i ka ʻepekema nuklea a me ka ʻenehana no ka pono o ke kaiāulu.

E ʻike i ka hopena o ka ʻepekema nuklea i ke kaiapuni, mālama olakino a me ka meaʻai.

The division's primary objectives are to improve task performance, system safety, system and staff safety, efficiency and effectiveness. The division's main areas of interest are task design, procedures and training, instrumentation and control layout, placement and positioning, stress control and anthropometrics.

Hoʻopiʻi ʻia ke Kōmike Kūlana i ka hana ʻana a me ka mālama ʻana i nā kūlana manawaleʻa no nā ʻāpana, nā ʻōnaehana a me nā pono e pili ana i ka ʻepekema nuklea a me ka ʻenehana. E nānā i nā mea hou, e kipa i ka hale kūʻai Standards a i ʻole e komo i kēia lā!

Charles E. Till died on March 22, aged 89. He was a member of the ANS since 1963, and a Fellow since 1987. He received his bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees in nuclear engineering at Imperial College University of London. Till worked at the Civilian Atomic Power Department, Canadian General Electric Company. He was responsible for the startup of Canada's first prototype CANDU nuclear reactor.

Till began working at Argonne in 1963, in the Applied Physics Division. He was an experimentist for the Fast Critical Experiments Program. In 1973, he was promoted to a position of increasing responsibility. Under his leadership the Applied Physics Division became one of the most elite organizations for reactor physics in the world. The work on nuclear analysis methods and critical experiments (including nuclear data measurements and critical experiments) was internationally recognized. Till was Argonne's representative in the International Nuclear Fuel Cycle Evaluation. He also served as the U.S. lead delegate for INFCE Working Group 5 Fast Breeders.
