In 1957, informal meetings began to take place in Saskatoon regarding the formation of a car-club. The discussions revolved around the type of car club that should be formed and how to select a name. Seven car enthusiasts, returning from Edmonton, Alberta, where they had attended their first car show, formed a car club in the fall of 1957.
