Due to the current uncertain situation, we regretfully announce that the Book Fair scheduled for 7 August 2020 has been cancelled. The next Book Fair is scheduled for 16 October 2021, subject to confirmation. We apologize for any inconvenience.
The Book Fair scheduled for 20 March 2020 has unfortunately been cancelled. The next Book Fair is scheduled for 15 May 2021, subject to confirmation. We apologize for any inconvenience.
If circumstances outside of our control require cancellation, the next Book Fair will be held on 22 January in 2022. If government guidelines change, we will update the message.
The Paws & Claws Book Fairs attract book lovers from all over Southern England. Over 40 stalls sell thousands of rare and collectible books on a variety of topics. The stallholders are often enthusiasts who sell only at this event.
There is something for everyone, whether it's local history, military or naval books, children's, art, or fiction. You may find a great deal if you are lucky.
You will always find a good selection of children's books, including the "Eagle Annual", and the Jennings Series. Old leaflets and cards are available for purchase, and there are often bookbinding experts or autograph experts present.
The historic county town Lewes hosts the Paws & Claws Book Fairs. This town has a rich literary history and many hidden antiquarian shops. The Town Hall is located in the heart of Lewes, just a few minutes' walk from the mainline station.
