The BSF/LSF Annual School Fair  is a forum for Washington metropolitan area families to learn about independent school education and to engage students, teacher, and administrators from more than 70 local and national independent schools and educational programs.

The Black Student Fund (BSF), which provides advocacy, academic, and retention support to academically motivated African American students, and other underserved students, facilitates their admission, successful matriculation, and graduation from member schools. BSF partners with member institutions to provide financial assistance as well as instruction and feedback to ensure a supportive, responsive environment.

To provide opportunities for strong academic foundations for PreK-12th grade students from underserved families and their families in order to encourage higher education and professional leadership. This organization offers year-round, non-school-related programs for at-risk, low-income students and their families, with the aim of improving educational attainment in the community.
