36th Annual Downtown Sarasota Arts Festival
The Big One! Downtown Sarasota hosts a number of events, fairs and festivals, as well as fundraisers every year. Sarasota's Festival of the Arts is a long-standing event. The Festival will take over Main Street, starting at Orange Avenue heading east to Links Avenue. Over 200 artists from around the country and region will be featured in this year's Festival, which has grown to cover more than five blocks of city. According to Sunshine Artist Magazine, the Festival of the Arts has been consistently ranked among the top 100 arts festivals in the country because of its high artistic quality, accessibility, and diversity of art. The 200 artists on-site will be happy to share their creative inspirations and process for each work. Residents and visitors can stroll among life-size sculptures as well as spectacular paintings, unique jewels, photography and ceramics. The parking is always free, and dogs on leashes are welcome. Downtown Sarasota Alliance receives proceeds from the Downtown Sarasota Arts Festival.
