This book fair has been sanctioned officially by the Antiquarian Booksellers' Association of America (ABAA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers. The consumer can trust the professionalism and experience of participating dealers, as well as the authenticity of items for sale. All books, manuscripts, and other related materials have been thoroughly examined for bibliographic accuracy and completeness.
The Armory’s 55,000-square-foot drill hall is reminiscent of Grand Central Depot, and of the great train sheds in Europe. It remains one of New York's largest, unobstructed, spaces. It was a marvel of engineering at the time. It was designed by Regiment veteran Charles W. Clinton. He later became a partner with Clinton & Russell architects, who also designed the Apthorp Apartments, and the now-demolished Astor Hotel.

In its 60+ year history, the Antiquarian Booksellers' Association of America's New York International Antiquarian Book Fair is now the leading antiquarian fair in the world. It's produced and managed Sanford L. Smith + Associates. Exhibitors from around the world gather at New York City’s historic Park Avenue Armory once a year to present a treasure trove of materials, including rare books and maps, illuminated manuscrips, fine bindings illustrations, historical documents photographs, prints, memorabilia and ephemera. Specialties include art, design and popular culture as well as science, medicine, literature. history, gastronomy. fashion, music, philosophy.
