With the American WASC accreditation, the multitude of exchange options, and being in the heart of Europe, AAU was an easy choice for me. Despite its small size AAU is a hot pot of language and culture that poses nothing but benefit when engaging in discussion in or out of the classroom.
AAU offers many great opportunities, including the opportunity to study abroad, intern in local or foreign companies, work at the university, get involved with student government and become part of an international community that allows you to experience university life.
AAU is located in the Thurn-Taxis Palace, which has been restored below the famous Prague Castle in Mala Strana's historic Mala Strana District.
A hub for students, faculty, staff, and administration to connect, the Thurn-Taxis Palace hosts everything from art installations and Student BBQ’s and campus events. Just adjacent to the courtyard is Vojanovy Sady, one of the oldest green spaces in the city, filled with peacocks and an apiary.
