This monumentalist architecture is a scenically rich entry with fountains decorated in mosaics, granite stairsways, colonnades, and well-kept garden. It was designed by Gaetano Miucci at the Universal Exposition in 1942. It is an expression of Italian Rationalism. This architectural trend developed in Italy in connection to the International Modern Movement. It also follows the principles of functionalism. These ideas were continued in different ways up until the 1970s.
