Take exit 42 from Interstate 70. Turn left on W 1st Street. Follow Main Street for two blocks to reach the heart of Palisade.

The Veteran's Memorial Park is a great spot for a shaded picnic. This park is great for children, as it has a skate park and play area. This park is home to the Wayne N. Aspinall Memorial, which is dedicated to the man who was a strong supporter of water reclamation and served in the US House of Representatives. This historic community center hosts town meetings, events, as well as other activities. Many kitchens and activity areas can be rented at the center for weddings, anniversaries and other events.

There is something for everyone in the Heart of Palisade. Visitors will find shaded benches and a \"Clean Up After Your Pet\" station at the intersection of W 5th Street & Logan Ave. There are also two water fountains, one for humans and one for dogs. The park features a tennis court with four pickleball courts and a practice wall. There are also two playgrounds, a baseball diamond, a soccer field, and a volleyball court. There is also a horseshoe pit or bocce ball sandpit. This park is perfect for those who want to go on a walk, practice with a team, take a dip, or learn new sports.
