Southern California's Seaside Highland Games, the premier Scottish Festival on the Pacific Coast, will be launching its 20th edition on October 12 and 13, 2024. The Ventura County Fairgrounds, in coastal Ventura California, is transformed into an authentic Scottish village, no matter what age. The festival, which is located on the Pacific coasts, is fortunate enough to experience ocean breezes almost every year. October is also the perfect time to enjoy this time between summer and autumn!The Seaside Games attracts participants from across the West. The Clans Munro Gunn and Innis Societies of North America, who are the most prestigious in North America, will bring us members from all over North America and Canada. You might also see some native Scots in the mix!A Scottish Evening is a Friday night event that includes a delicious buffet dinner, Scottish music and a Scottish Fashion Show. The dinner is preceded by a Single Malt Tasting, which includes dozens of premium Scotch whisky brands. For tickets and more information, contact [email protected] Saturday, the grand parade and gala opening ceremonies will be held at 12 noon. A true color spectacle! Four stages will play music continuously all weekend long, including Angry Brians Ploughboys and Sligo Rags The Browne Sister, and many more. Nearby, the Highland Heavies will amaze you with their braw Scottish athletes. Herding dog demonstrations will entertain and thrill you, and dancers from all ages are sure to enthrall! St. Andrews Society of Los Angeles Harp Glen and World War II Military Encampment are both awesome stops. The amazing offerings include fine vendors, delicious Celtic food and drinks when needed, and the Childrens Glen. There is so much more.
