FCT Assembly announced that it will be exhibiting at the Space Coast & Tampa Bay Expo & Tech Forum on the 4th of December 2014, at the Park Inn By Radisson in Kissimmee. Rodney Wade, a solder expert, will be on hand to answer questions about FCT's NanoSlic Gold and solution-driven pastes.
The NanoSlic Gold is a next-generation stencil technology developed to meet the growing demands of the electronic assembly industry. NanoSlic Gold is a proprietary coating that is applied to both the underside and the aperture walls of the stencil. This coating is highly hydrophobic as well as oleophobic which makes it repel solder paste.
NanoSlic Gold has a thermally-cured coating that is permanent. NanoSlic technology improves solder paste transfers for small apertures, resulting in increased yields and reduced rework. NanoSlic also reduces underside cleanup and minimises bridging. This technology is easy to evaluate and compatible with existing assembly equipment and processes.
FCT Assembly has solder pastes specially formulated for various assembly issues, such as anti-tombstoning. Leaded and lead-free pastes are separated in the product line. FCT offers 63/37 and 62/36/2 alloys for leaded pastes. Lead-free alloys are SAC305 and SN100C as well as SAC387, SAC307, as well as HMP alloys. They are available in Type 3, Type 4, and Type 5 particle size.
