Gordon Food Service broke the ground on its new 445, 000-square-foot warehouse in Douglasville today. Attending were Harvey Persons the Mayor of Douglasville, Jim Gordon, Chief Executive Officer of Gordon Food Service, and Brian Zylstra, General Manager of the Atlanta Division. Several state and local officials as well as Gordon Food Service staff were present. The distribution center will be operational by the winter of 2015. It is expected to employ 200 people within three years.
