Sustainability Advances in the Global Cut Flower Industry

An international conference is being organized for Monday, June 3rd, 2024 to discuss the most recent developments in sustainability and the urgency to address it to all flower purchasers around the globe. The reality of cut flower production and its sustainability must be communicated in a clear and unambiguous manner. A collective response has not been given to date, and this is compounded by misinformation. The reputation of the cut flower industry is now at risk.

This reputational challenge is growing and it's a concern that the repercussions may be so severe they will not recover. The global industry needs to act quickly before the situation becomes irreversible. A conference discussion will take place in the Oshwal Center's conference hall, the same location as the 11th edition IFTEX, Nairobi Kenya. This event is one day before the official opening of IFTEX 2020, scheduled for 10:00 am Tuesday, June 4.

The IFTEX website will soon provide additional information about the conference program, topics of discussion, attendance policy and more.
